Jelsia Cottone, BS
Jelsia Cottone is a graduate of Saint Joseph's University (Formally University of the Sciences). She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a Certificate of Proficiency for Spanish for Healthcare Professionals. Her research is centered around biopsy clinical trials for liver cancer patients. Throughout her academic career, she has cultivated an interest in translating innovative technologies into practical solution for clinical care, which led her to pursue research in the emerging field of image-guided interventions. Her passion for improving healthcare outcomes is reflected in her work in the PIGI Lab, where she helps manage patient recruitment, data collection, and regulatory compliance for various clinical studies. When she is not committed to bridging the gap between laboratory discoveries and real-world clinical applications, Jelsia likes to travel, sew her own clothes, and spend time with friends and family.
